Ryft — Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026 Effective date: October 6, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Ryft Security, LLC ("Ryft," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on ryftapi.com (the "Site"). It supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make sites work, to remember preferences, and to support security and payments. Similar technologies (such as local storage) work in comparable ways. We refer to all of these as "cookies" in this Policy.

2. Our approach: minimal by design

We keep cookies to a minimum. The Site currently uses only one strictly-necessary cookie (ryft_preview, ~30-day lifetime) — a private-preview access control cookie that stores no personal data — and does not use any analytics, advertising, or marketing cookies. Stripe sets its own cookies on its hosted checkout to process payments and prevent fraud. Being strictly necessary, this cookie is exempt from ePrivacy consent.

3. Categories of cookies

  • Strictly necessary cookies — required for the Site (or a specific feature you request) to function. These do not require consent. Our ryft_preview access-control cookie falls in this category.
  • Payment / fraud-prevention cookies (third party) — set by Stripe on its hosted checkout pages to process your payment securely and detect fraud.
  • Analytics / performance cookies — not currently used.
  • Advertising / marketing cookies — not currently used.

4. Cookies currently in use

5. How to control cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or removing cookies already stored. If you block strictly-necessary cookies, parts of the Site (such as preview access or checkout) may not work. Because Stripe's cookies are set on Stripe's own pages during payment, they are governed by Stripe's policies and your browser controls.

6. Consent and EU/UK note

Because the Site currently uses only a strictly-necessary cookie and relies on Stripe for payment, a cookie-consent banner is not currently required. In the EU/UK, consent is generally required before setting non-essential cookies. If you later add analytics, advertising, or other non-essential cookies, you should add a compliant consent banner (prior opt-in for EU/UK visitors) and update this Policy accordingly.

7. Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies changes. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
